This is a good thing from the police department

As  Casselberry's Hispanic population grows, cops look to learn Spanish

The department is now giving officers Spanish lessons for free.

The department is teaming up with a local church to train officers to be proficient enough in Spanish to hold a conversation.

The church is making it easy to learn the language for free.

The move is aimed at eliminating the need to wait for a translator at traffic stops.

My thought about this would be that, if it is necessary and so easy to teach Spanish to our police, why can't this also be a two way teaching?

The church should also set up a training for Hispanic's to learn enough English to help the police in an emergency?
