If our media would get off of their (chairs)

Did I follow the trial?

Weapons don't kill, People kill, People don't kill, Weapons kill

The NRA got it wrong once again.

Both statements are wrong.

Weapons do kill.

People do kill.

Did I follow this trial?

I live in central Florida and it is the Hurricane/Tornado/ Rainy season, try not to follow this trial, as with the last three trials and still be able to check your weather.

Although because of what I was hearing, plus sort of being forced to look at both sides, I did followed the part of the trial given to the jury by both sides at the end very closely.

The verdict is in and it does not matter what I or anyone else wishes to say.

From 10 PM yesterday 07/13/2013 until forever, it will change nothing.

Why?

Because we the people forced six women to give up their lives as they know it and sit to judge a stranger.

Why?

Because this is a free country and our people are assumed innocent until found guilty.

Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda.

My thinking on this trial would have to be that both victims were guilty, because both victims were young macho men.

Both are victims because a young man of 17 is now dead. A young man in his twenties life will forever be changed and he knows that at any given moment some nut cast with a weapon can kill him.

If we change that February 26th 2012 night situation just a little, here would have been no trial.

Not two young men.

Two women?

One man one woman.

The only weapon each had was a cell phone and a can of mace.

George Zimmerman should have stated many times something to the effect that,

"I am a member of the security watch for this area, please tell me why you are here?"

Trayvon Martin while running that 4 minutes, should have gone to his dad's home and someone call the police.

Last but by no means least, take away the feeding frenzy of the selfish media!

If our media would get off of their (chairs), spend at least 1/10th the time reporting good stories, like Jessie F. Hughes, World War 2 Pow Veteran honored with medals he never got during a ceremony at Jacksonville's Veterans Memorial Wall?

What an interesting country we would be living in today?

Instead, business as usual, media takes the gory easy roads each time.

Paddle a canoe on a river full of piranha and you can paddle all day.

Cut a finger while paddling and you are on your own.

The Media is as the piranha, a cut finger is like many trials, shootings, rape, and so on, they go at it for hours, days and even months. Still wonder why our young are immune to the taking of life?
