RU
redy?
Or
as it is stated in the Daily Commercial Newspaper this morning 10/01/2013.
RU
redy? State slamming brakes on drivers who text.
This
is just another in a long list of reasons why this state is becoming the Jester
to the world!
Gov.
Rick Scott was in South Florida on Tuesday to sign SB 52, legislation
championed by Sen. Nancy Detert (R-Venice) for the last four years.
Under
the new law, Florida will join a large majority of states in prohibiting
texting while driving.
MAYBE
SOMEDAY?
As
a secondary offense?
(However,
drivers must be stopped for a separate alleged traffic violation before being
ticketed for texting while driving).
WHAT?
How
about a texting driver speeding head on into a school bus full of our children,
would this count as a separate alleged traffic violation?
Yes,
this has happened!
I
am sure that every town and city in every state in this country and the world
has a roadway like our route # 436 in Orlando Florida?
I
did write about this road some time ago however, now because of this so called
new law and a change in the amount of time our lights stay yellow, someone was
playing games with the lights to trap drivers into tickets.
I
fears it even more!
As
I stated in that earlier posting I must travel route 4 to this 436 unless I
wish to pay many tolls and still end up on this 436, before I can get to my doctor's
appointment at the VA Hospital.
On
this very heavily traveled road it would seem that everyone is in a hurry
except me, I leave early so as to not to disobey laws or race into trouble.
Each
time a light turns to yellow and I know that I must stop or chance being hit by
another driver in an intersection also in hurry, I watch the eyes of the
drivers in all lanes behind me while watching the driver in front.
Most
of the time just before completely stopping I just close my eyes hold on and
pray!
While
opening my eyes once again there is a 55/55 chance that at least one driver
will pass me on the left or right on their way through the RED LIGHT while blowing
their horn and giving me the finger on the way by.
It's
not all that funny my friends, at least not at the time.
By
the time I get in to see the doctor and only when I can catch my breath enough
to breath correctly enough to speak, I remind them to hold off on the blood
pressure check before they have a heart attack!
