Confederate States of America on display in Florida

Confederate States of America on display in Florida

It is by no means only southern people flying this flag!

Let's be honest?

When you see a rebel flag on a business enterprise, a house or a vehicle what do you automatically think?

The confederate flag is a symbol of southern heritage?

Do you think that this in remembrance to all civil war victims or do you think that it is flown by a

" White Supremacist?"

Say what you want for as long as you wish,

"This is a Free Country."

However, if this flag is shown in remembrance to 'your lost soldiers', why are there no flags on the property of any indigenous peoples land?

Native Americans and African Americans were also Confederate Soldiers?

A few Native American tribes, such as the Creek and the Choctaw, were slaveholders and found a political and economic commonality with the Confederacy.

The Choctaw owned over 2,000 slaves.

As many as 90,000 blacks, slave and free, were employed in some capacity by the Confederate army.

The majority of these men fall into two categories, as "military laborers or body servants."

"In 1936, an enterprising publisher created a 'safe passage' guide for blacks. It was called The Negro Motorist Green-Book, and it helped African-Americans navigate the highways and byways of racist rural America by listing restaurants and hotels that catered to them.

" Of course, the sad thing is that the progress of HB 1228 has already spawned efforts to create lists of LGBT-friendly businesses in Arkansas. It's 1936 all over again. Do you call that progress?" Arkansas Bigot Watch
