"Dirty Restaurants!" in Florida
For years now TV
Anchor Bob Opsahl, WFTV. and others along with state inspectors have been
investigating "Dirty Restaurants!" in Florida.
And yet today not
one of them has cleaned up their place for their customers?
Just what is going
on in the state of Florida with inspections?
In states like
California and New York there is a report card, grading the restaurant just
like schools do for your children and each inspection the report card is pasted
on the door or window for potential customers to read and decide if they wish
to go in to eat, not in Florida, why?
WFTV 9 first exposed
violations inside a local restaurant.
Days later, state
inspectors showed up and found more problems.
See why it's
sometimes cheaper to fail inspections than clean up, today at 5:45p on #WFTVat5
The first inspection
is random.
The second is
planned and prepared for.
The Restaurant
owner/managers do not clean up their kitchen because they know that the
inspector will give them a 2nd chance before a violation order and how many
violations before they are shut down.
If they are shut
down, and I say if instead of when, they then open under a different name!
Remember, I spent
the better part of 40 years working on equipment in and around kitchens.
As I write this was
