Posterity for
Whom?
Or should I have
said,
"Who's Future
generation?"
AFP was created in
July 2010 following the outcome of a federal court case known as
SpeechNow.org v.
Federal Election Commission.
This in and of its
self should fear you!
Have you been able
to see the
'Americans for
Posterity' latest TV adds?
Or
Like me you go hit
the food cabinets?
What in the world is
this thing called
"Americans for
Posterity?"
Well if you buy into
their adds, they are
"For the
People" in this country?
However, it you
follow their progress since 2004 you will see that they are
"For anything
but the People!"
They formed the Tea
Party, then spent billions of their money to help crush the Tea Party.
They buy pet
politicians.
They take from the
poor and give to the rich.
They spend billions
of their dollars to squash companies with healthcare and retirement plans and
fund governors of our states, like Governor Rick Scott,
to bring in, at
taxpayers' expense, mediocre jobs with minimum pay and no protection. This my
friends is getting this country back to and before the 1890's!
Please explain to me
how this is helping the people and why we should not impeach anyone in our
government not voting to remove them from Washington and rescind
SpeechNow.org v.
Federal Election Commission?
AFP, the first and
the largest Super-Pack!
Americans for
Posterity, EKA the SUPER-PACKS all 1,400 of them!
Americans for Prosperity is
a right-wing political advocacy group founded by billionaire brothers David and
Charles Koch, the owners of Koch Industries.
In the 2012 election
cycle, it was a key component of the Koch's' $400 million political
network, receiving large portions of its money from Koch-linked dark money
groups like Freedom Partners, American Encore, and Donors Trust.
As of October 08,
2014, 1,310 groups organized as Super PACs
have reported total
receipts of $828,224,700
and
total independent
expenditures of $609,417,654 in the 2012 cycle.
Americans for
Prosperity (AFP), founded in 2004, is a conservative
political advocacy group
in the United States.
Receiving initial funding from businessmen and philanthropist brothers David H. Koch and Charles Koch, it is their
primary political advocacy group. It is one of the most influential American
conservative political advocacy organizations.
After the 2009
inauguration of President Barack
Obama, AFP helped transform the Tea Party movement
into a political force. It organized significant opposition to Obama
administration initiatives such as global warming
regulation, the Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act, the expansion of Medicaid and economic
stimulus. It helped turn back cap and trade, the
major environmental proposal of Obama's first term. AFP advocated for limits on
the collective
bargaining rights of public-sector
trade unions and for right-to-work laws,
and it opposed raising the federal minimum wage. AFP played
an active role in the achievement of the Republican majority in the House
of Representatives in 2010 and in the Senate in 2014.
In the 2014
mid-term election cycle, AFP led all groups other than political
action committees in spending on political television advertising. AFP's
scope of operations has drawn comparisons to political parties.
AFP, an educational
social welfare organization, and the associated Americans for Prosperity
Foundation, a public
charity, are tax-exempt
nonprofits.
As a tax-exempt nonprofit, AFP is not legally required to disclose its donors.[3]
The extent of AFP's political activities while operating as a tax-exempt entity
has raised concerns among some campaign
finance watchdogs and Democrats
regarding the transparency
of its funding.
