"lower taxes on
the middle class raise taxes on the rich!"
This is how you get
a big lead over your enemy!
Donald said,
"I would take
carried interest out, and I would let people making hundreds of millions of
dollars-a-year pay some tax, because right now they are paying very little tax
and I think it's outrageous,"
Trump said. "I
want to lower taxes for the middle class."
Did you all catch
the (I would Let people making hundreds of millions of dollars a year pay some
tax)?
He would let them!
Pay some tax!
I like this
statement even though he cannot do this!
Carried interest
constitutes on average about one-third of the payments that private equity GPs
receive, and the management fee the remainder.
What laws can the
President of the United States make?
Removing
Carried Interest is a great idea, people have been screaming for this for many
years!
However, a president
can only write an Executive Order.
Congress can dispute
this order and send their dispute to the 3rd branch on government (the Judicial
Branch), for removal or approval?
Donald Trump as
president would be in the same situation that he is now placing President
Obama?
executive order--an
order having the force of law issued by the president of the U.S. to the army,
navy, or other part of the executive branch of the government.
executive orders- to help officers and agencies of the executive
branch manage the operations within the federal government itself.
Executive orders
have the full force of law when they take authority from a legislative power
which grants its power directly to the Executive by the Constitution, or are
made pursuant to Acts
of Congress that explicitly delegate to the President some degree of
discretionary power.
Like both
legislative statutes and regulations promulgated by government agencies,
executive orders are subject to judicial review, and may be struck down if
deemed by the courts to be unsupported by statute or the Constitution.
Major policy
initiatives require approval by the legislative branch, but executive orders
have significant influence over the internal affairs of government, deciding
how and to what degree legislation will be enforced, dealing with emergencies,
waging 72-hour length strikes on enemies, and in general fine-tuning policy
choices in the implementation of broad statutes.
