Coal protesters could blockade Newcastle again, 'on needs basis'

THE organizers of Sunday’s coal ship blockade of Newcastle harbour say their protest was received 

“Fantastically”

and may be repeated.

The biggest anti-coal protest in Newcastle’s history drew about 2000 people to Horseshoe beach

and stopped coal movements for much of Sunday, although the Port of Newcastle insisted 

“coal export volumes”

weren’t affected.
