Patrick Murphy 97 / Marco Rubio 30

U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy 97% Marco Rubio (NO SHOW) 30%

What if you were playing Marco Polo

and
the other kid
snuck away
and
disappeared?

U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy is hitting

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio for his record of not being there
in the first U.S. Senate campaign TV commercial of the fall season.

The 30-second spot,

‘Polo,’
is almost equal parts criticism of Republican Rubio
for his worst-in-the-Senate attendance record

and

introductory remarks for Murphy,
laying out the basic issues on which he wants to run.

After showing one kid sneaking out of the pool in a game of Marco Polo,

Murphy declares,

“It’s not a game when our senator doesn’t show up.”

The ad then highlight’s Murphy’s 97 percent voting record,

his claim for political independence,

his 100 percent voting record as pro-choice,

and

his commitment to stop cuts to Medicare.

Then he goes back to Rubio,

bringing home the point that the Murphy campaign has been addressing
since
Rubio, last week,
refused to commit to \
serving a full six-year term this time.

“Florida needs a full-time senator,”

Murphy concludes.
