THE MERCHANT MARINE ACT OF 1920

The Jones Act is a good thing for the USA

However, that said, it is in dire need of a few important changes.

need some work and it needs it now.

It was an important law while helping our country to grow  

(in the 1920’s), 
and a thorn in our side now 

(the 1999's and 2000’s), 

while trying to help our states and territories 

to grow and prosper.
Take (Puerto Rico), for instance.
